Corrections to stop handcuffing expectant mothers who're nearing labour or giving birth

Commenting on the announcement that Corrections will no longer handcuff inmates who are more than 30 weeks pregnant, or while they are giving birth, or while they are in hospital after labour, Mothers Project founder and trustee Stacey Shortall says:

Women who are giving birth when they have been inprisoned and are facing all of the challenges that creates are already under a lot of strain and to remove the handcuffing that makes absolute sense.
